Why "On The Move"

My career
My interest in social fabric, the functioning of societies and the work of the people embedded in them runs through my career.
After completing my sociology studies in Zurich, I spent two years as a delegate for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in El Salvador, before moving to the ICRC headquarters in Geneva to take care of aid operations in the countries of the Horn of Africa.
In May 1987, I began my career as a diplomat with the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA). After two years of training in Bern, Ottawa and Geneva, I was posted to Brasilia, Vienna, Bern (OSCE, PfP), Brussels (Mission to NATO), Madrid, Bern (Head of Domain Cooperation with the East, SDC) and as ambassador in Bogotá and most recently in Jakarta. In Jakarta, I was accredited to Indonesia, Timor-Leste and the Association of South-East Asian Nations (ASEAN).
In autumn 2024, I completed the training as executive coach at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) in Brugg. I am following up and enhancing my training within the cycle Integrative Consulting: Supervision, Coaching and Change Management
Movement and change also play an important role in my free time. I have a horse riding instructor's certificate, dance tango and enjoy being out in the mountains or in the great outdoors. In Madrid I completed training as an advanced coach in neurolinguistic programming.
Quality standards and financial
I am a member of the professional association for coaching, supervision and organizational consulting (bso) and have completed training in individual consulting at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW).
The training and my work as a coach follow the bso quality standards.
During the initial consultation, a contract is agreed for the coaching sequence, which also includes an obligation of confidentiality.
My hourly rates are based on the bso guideline rates.
